1984-09-15 Melbourne, Australia - LDB Special Series - Audio

LDB Special Series #122

Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the
musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my
cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed!
I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my
reward for all the work involved in this project.

DO NOT share this music on mp3, just convert it for your own use. Sharing mp3's is the right way to make me stop sharing
music here.

Lineage: Unknown recording device > n generation copy > Aiwa Tape Deck AD-WX828 > Audiophile 2496 Soundblaster > HD >
SoundForge 7.0 > CD Wave > FLAC Frontend (level 6)

No '40' was played that night, so this is the full set. This one is still on the tracker here: http://u2torrents.com/torrents-details.php?id=3464
but my version has no unbalanced sound between two channels and sounds much better than the other one. Here the sound is
clear during the whole show. Right after 4th of July Larry starts the drumming for Gloria but then stops immediately since
the first song in the setlist was Out Of Control.

Enjoy!

1987-09-14 East Rutherford, USA Joshua Tree Tour - Audio

U2
Giants Stadium
East Rutherford, New Jersey
September 14, 1987

Attendance:  54,780 (sellout)
Support:  Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul

Pimm's brief story:

"The first stadium show of the fall four manages to keep the huge crowd captivated, although many consider the show suffers from the absence of video screens to give those at the back a better view.  Adam tries to start New Year's Day but fails.  'Our bass player is struck by lightning,' Bono says to fill the gap, while Adam tries to figure out what's wrong.  'So, anyway, how's New York these days?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is another in the series responding to kittycran's requests...I can't keep up with the three to four simultaneous uploads kittycran accomplishes, but this is better than nothing, isn't it?

I had asked in my last upload if anyone had a known source for this, but no one responded, so what you see here is what you get...discs received in trade, taper and lineage unknown, 3/5 quality.  If anyone has a better version to share, I will gladly ban this one.

Justin's site mentions "Joshua Tree New Jersey" and omits mention of Trip Through Your Wires, but maybe this was a typo.   His version was sourced from a Betacam master > DVD > cdr.  The times on his discs are different than what we have here, so although his description of quality is similar to this version, I suspect they are different sources.

cdr (obtained in trade, unknown taper, unknown lineage) > EAC to wav > FLAC Frontend 1.7.1 to FLAC level 6

This Matrix is for ademotte, he is looking forward listen to it.
Sometimes the sounds blowing away by the wind, but not too much.
Sorry, there is no Intro. It's missing in the ademotte-Source.
I hope you'll like the Matrix!

PS: It's a pity that I can't upload my (MUCH BETTER) Chicago 1 Matrix, cause
one Taper don't allow to use his source for a Matrix.

1980-09-12 Scarborough, England - Taboo Club (Macfistofly collection) - Audio

Received in trade just when CD-Rs were coming into style.  It may be the same as that listed on AchtungBootlegs.com as "Live From Scarborough 12.09.1980" but it came titled simply as "Taboo Club".

Performance : Live
Source : Audience
Integral : Complete
Support : CD-R
Mics: Mono
Taper : Unknown Taper
Lineage : cassette (gen?) > unknown CD-R (gen?) > FLAC via xACT

Certainly not the greatest recording ever but it's solid and impressively clear considering its age and that it is an audience recording.  I think it's a nice add to any collection.

Share but do not sell.

2010-09-11 - Zurick, Swiss 360 Tour GVA Remaster - Audio

U2 - 2010-09-11 - Zurich, Switzerland - Stadion Letzigrund with Bonus

- Excellent Audience Recording 10/10 -

1. Except for track 1* the tracks are exactly the same of length
   * this recording made one track of the "Intro" and "Return of the Stingray Guiter"
2. Compered several times the same song from each recording
3. The screamings/jells/whistles are exactly the same for both recordings
4. Then I normalized the original recording  up to 97% with Cool Edit Pro
5. So I compered both recordings again and both are the same

BUT THIS RECORDING SOUNDS DIFFERENT.

My conclusing is that the original recording has been "remastered" or how you will call it.

The bonustracks are from Alysha's recording, but also "remastered"

And not Unimportant, this recording is lossless

1997-09-11 Lisboa, Portugal Popmart by BTT - Audio

Source: Sony Walkman>Tape
Lineage: Master Tape>wav>CoolEdit (normalize & track split)>flac
Recorded by BTT

So, the search is almost done. After 12 years a recording of the Lisboa show has finally surfaced.
This recording is not perfect because it is not complete. It misses the second part of the show.
"All I Want is You" is cut due to tape change.
The sound is quite listenable for the conditions it was recorded. Nevertheless it is the first source to see the light of day.
And this transfer was taken from the Master Tape.
It was a great show with a fired up band.

I want to thank BTT and Dark Circle Room for recording and providing this to our listening pleasure.

Enjoy, feel free to trade and share but please use mp3 just for personal use and ABOVE ALL DON'T SELL!!!
Cheers
Ziggy :-)

1992-09-11 - Ames, USA - ZooTV Ames, Iowa - Remastered - AUDIO

This bootleg was remastered from a DAT original.  A slight hiss in the background and a few pops here and there make it sound more like it was originally on cassette.
Overall, the sound is very good with one noteworthy exception: a "warble" on the last three tracks of Disc 2 that is irritating but not unbearable.
For some reason, "Until the End Of the World" was split in the middle.
This is no big deal, however, as the transition is seamless.  "Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around the World" starts skipping near the end of the song and cuts out without warning.
Also, there is a fairly length fade out during "Pride (In the Name of Love)".  .
